Joao De Haro is the latest addition to our team at Monaco Interiors. Joao will be joining us for two days each month to lead our intensive interior design course.
Joao has extensive experience as an artist and interior designer and we are delighted to have him on board to impart his knowledge and creativity to our interior design students.
As a teacher he brings 12 years’ experience working with students in both London and Spain. His areas of design knowledge include watercolours, creative drawing, perspective drawing, freehand drawing, kitchen and bathroom design, surveying and portfolio development. He is accomplished painting with oils, acrylics and watercolours, alongside many technical paint finishes, including marbling, gilding, wood effect, silk painting and polishing.
As an artist Joao’s work has been displayed in galleries around the world. Featured galleries have included; The Clarion Contemporary Art Gallery in London Clarion Contemporary Art Gallery London,Norrie Buxton Gallery London,A.A.F London Art Fair,Robert Phillip Gallery London,The Mews Gallery London,RU-H Galeria de Arte Contemporaneo Malaga Spain,A.A.F New York Art Fair USA, Museo Etnologico Mijas Spain, and the Moma Museo, Curitiba Brasil.
As an interior designer Joao has been involved with theatrical productions are some of the world’s leading theatres, including The Old Vic Theatre, Royal Opera House, Houston Ballet Theatre ,American Ballet Theatre, Hong Kong Theatre, English National Ballet, among others. He is also being commissioned for work in hotels, airports, churches, yachts, art galleries and private residences in France, Spain, Turkey the USA, Brazil and around the world.
Joao combines a huge creative talent and passion for design with patience and an eye for detail. He is one of the most inspiring interior design artists we have had the pleasure to work with and one of the finest teachers; able to motivate and bring out the best in every one of his students.
