Show House

The developer of this beautiful Show House in Hertford wanted to attract successful families, so my goal was to make the interior home-like and inviting. Warm shades of blue, dark wood and soft beige curtains give the house a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. It was also important that the interior was stylish and well organised, to emphasise the potential of the home itself. You will see that I therefore used a lot of sharp angles in the furnishings and accessories, creating soft, tactile areas with selective use of curves, such as in the living room sofas and the bedroom lampshades. Visitors to the house should envision it as a lived in space, rather than a gallery, so plenty of warm carpet and elegant cushioning complete the look, with simple patterns and naturalistic accessories.
