This show flat in the English seaside town of Southend was a commercial property designed to encourage buyers to invest in lucrative seafront apartments. We wanted to design to be neutral so as not to distract from the layout and character of the property, but we didn’t want it to come across as sterile. We wanted to give potential buyers an idea about what the flat could like when it was a home. So, not exactly a blank canvas, but an exciting starting point from which to develop the property’s character. We worked closely with our client to create a design that would appeal to their target market, and these pictures show the result: A simple contemporary design that makes the property feel ‘lived in’ and showcases the huge potential of this stunning development.
